Orlando donation guide
How to Donate Clothes in Orlando
If you have bags of clothing you no longer wear, you have more options than the nearest donation bin. This page walks through each one, what it is good for, and how a free Clothes For Paws pickup or hosted drive works across Orlando and Central Florida.
Four ways to donate clothing in the Orlando area
Free home pickup
Best when you have several bags, no vehicle space, or a schedule that does not fit store hours. Bag everything, pick a day, and leave it outside your front door. No minimum, no cost, nobody needs to be home.
Schedule a pickupHost a clothing drive
Best for schools, churches, HOAs, apartment communities and offices. One designated collection spot, flyers and bins from us, about three weeks of collecting, then we haul it all away and tell you the total.
How hosting worksThrift stores and outdoor bins
Best for a single small bag you can drop off on the way somewhere. Check hours before you go, keep bags off the ground in the rain, and never leave donations at a closed door.
Seasonal closet clean-outs
Moving, downsizing or clearing an estate? Tell us roughly how much you have and we will plan a larger pickup window so the whole job goes in one trip instead of several.
Tell us what you haveWhat we accept — and what happens next
Everything you donate stays out of a landfill. Wearable clothing is sorted and reused, much of it resold by small-scale entrepreneurs abroad, and the proceeds fund Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando’s adoptions, veterinary care and pet food pantry.

Common questions about donating clothes in Orlando
Where can I donate clothes in Orlando?
You have four practical options in the Orlando area: drop your bags at a thrift store, use an outdoor donation bin, hand items to a local outreach program, or book a free clothing donation pickup so you never have to load your car. Clothes For Paws picks up bagged clothing, shoes, linens and small household goods from homes and apartments across Orlando at no cost, and proceeds support Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.
Does anyone pick up clothing donations in Orlando for free?
Yes. Clothes For Paws offers free home pickup throughout Orlando and eight Central Florida counties. Request a day online or call 1-888-820-8360, and we call you back to confirm. On pickup day you leave bags outside your front door — you do not need to be home.
Is there a minimum number of bags to schedule a clothing pickup?
No. Two bags from one closet or forty bags from an office drive are both fine.
What clothing items can I donate in Orlando?
Men's, women's and children's clothing in every size, shoes, socks, bras and underwear in wearable condition, baby clothing and gear, purses, belts, accessories, linens, towels, curtains, small household goods and clean pet supplies. Everything should be gently used. We do not accept furniture.
Can my school, church or apartment community run a clothing drive in Orlando?
Yes, and it is free to host. Pick one designated collection spot on your property, we supply flyers, posters and bins, residents or members drop their bags there over about three weeks, and we haul everything away and report the total collected. Drives can be one time or repeat quarterly, semi-annually or annually.
Can I get a tax receipt for donated clothing?
Yes. Email info@clothesforpaws.com after your pickup or drive and we will send a donation receipt for your records.
